Privacy and Big Data Executive Seminar

  • Peter Bronfman Learning Centre 297 Victoria St Toronto, ON, M5B 1W1 Canada (map)

I'm proud to be a panelist in the afternoon panel discussion at this seminar.

"The Chang School’s one-day Executive Seminar on Privacy and Big Data is designed for executives and senior managers who are responsible for their organization’s data privacy. The objective of the seminar is to help participants understand how, as executives and senior managers, they play an essential role in creating an organization that proactively and effectively manages data privacy, particularly in the era of big data and the emerging Internet of Things.

As a participant, you will learn about the current state of privacy regulations, fair information practices, and how implementing the Seven Foundational Principles of Privacy by Design™ can help to proactively prevent data breaches and privacy infractions. You will also learn how to gain a competitive advantage by proactively embedding Privacy by Design into your operations.

This seminar will leverage a combination of learning formats, including a traditional lecture, as well as extensive interaction through case studies and group discussions – all led by Dr. Ann Cavoukian, three-term Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, now the Executive Director of Ryerson University’s Privacy and Big Data Institute."

Upon completion of the seminar, participants will receive the Data Privacy Foundations™ Accreditation from Ryerson University’s Privacy and Big Data Institute (PBDI). The seminar also qualifies for CPE credits towards professional certification from the Privacy & Access Council of Canada (PACC).
